Meet the Team

Julie – Dental Assistant

Julie has been assisting patients with their dental needs for 27 years—14 of those with our team! A graduate of Evans High School and Augusta Technical College, she is the calming presence many of our patients rely on. Julie enjoys camping, reading, going to the beach, and spending time with her family.

Natasha – Front Office Team Member

Natasha has been with Westmoreland Family Dentistry since the beginning of her dental journey two years ago. A 2011 graduate of Augusta State, she’s a friendly face at the front desk and loves helping patients feel welcome and supported. She enjoys baking, crafting, and quality time with family in her spare time.

Lisa – Dental Hygienist

Lisa brings two decades of dental hygiene experience to the office. A 2005 graduate of The Medical College of Georgia, Lisa grew up as a military child, moving frequently and learning adaptability early in life. Her interests include cuddling with her cats and dogs, watching crime and paranormal shows, and reading.

Amber – Office Manager

Amber brings over 20 years of experience and a dynamic blend of professionalism and personality to our team. A graduate of Aiken Technical College, she’s certified in HIPAA compliance, infection control, and emergency response. A passionate animal lover, Amber has rescued and rehomed 19 stray dogs. She’s a fan of Motown, dancing, and kayaking—and is always ready with a fun loving sarcastic comment or a big smile.

Haley – Dental Hygienist

Haley is a native of Macon, GA, but now calls Augusta home. She attended Augusta University where she completed her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene. She was interested in pursuing a career in the dental field because she wanted to both educate patients, and help them improve their oral health. She loves helping her patients feel comfortable and at ease while in the dental chair, and equipping them with new knowledge about their oral health. She finds supporting her patients to be the most rewarding aspect of her job.

When not working Haley enjoys whipping up new recipes in the kitchen, checking out new restaurants with her fiance, and drinking lots of coffee. She enjoys spending time outdoors walking her dogs, and visiting with family.

Michelle – Front Desk Administrator

A passion to help people feel more confident with their smiles drew Michelle to a career in the dental industry. She received her dental training locally at Augusta Technical College, where she received her Certificate of Dental Assisting. Her philosophy on patient care focuses on ensuring each patient is provided with compassionate and respectful care. Her desire is that every patient feels they’re treated like family from the moment they enter our office. For her the most rewarding aspect of her job is seeing the smiles on her patients’ faces, after they’ve successfully completed their dental procedures. She’s grateful to play a part in helping them to move forward in knowledge and confidence.

When not at work Michelle enjoys spending time with her husband and grown daughter. She’s an active member of her Church, and loves traveling, especially to the beach.

Taylor – Dental Assistant

Taylor is a native of North Augusta, and graduated from Aiken Technical College where she completed the Expanding Duties Dental Assisting program. Her philosophy on patient care is centered around compassion, communication, and trust. She wants every patient to feel heard, respected, and at ease while being treated. She loves taking the time to ensure her patients understand their treatment, and helping them feel confident in their oral health journey. The best part of her job, building long-term relationships with her patients and seeing their smiles and oral health transformed.

When not in the office Taylor enjoys being outdoors, especially at the lake. She also finds joy in spending time with friends and her pets.

Courtney – Dental Hygienist

A proud graduate of Augusta University, Courtney received her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene in 2021. She loves the “hands on” nature of her job, and getting to work with a variety of patients daily. From a child’s first dental appointment to an adult who has a “lightbulb” moment with regard to their at home dental routine, every day is exciting! Courtney loves coming to work each day helping her patients feel comfortable, confident, and educated about their oral health.

Outside of work Courtney enjoys spending time with her husband and golden retriever, Mollie. She’s always on the lookout for, and ready to try out, a new coffee spot.

Shannon – Front Desk Coordinator

Shannon has called Augusta home since her early teens.  She’s always had an interest in working with people, and discovering what makes them tick.  This interest led her to pursue a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology from Augusta University, where she graduated in 1999. Before joining our team Shannon worked as a Patient Care Coordinator in a medical practice, and has extensive experience in medical billing. She’s brought this expertise to our team, and has embraced the challenge of learning the Dental industry.  A firm believer in being a “lifelong learner,” working at Westmoreland Family Dentistry provides Shannon the opportunity to  learn new things daily.  Her favorite aspect of her job is definitely the connections she makes with our patients. She loves making a patient’s visit a comfortable one, and helping to ease any dental anxiety. 

Outside of work Shannaon finds joy in spending quality time with her family. The busy Mom of three enjoys family game and movie nights, cheering in the stands for her softball-loving daughter, and keeping up with weather patterns around the US.

Jenny – Marketing Associate

Originally from South Florida, Jenny has called Augusta home since 2012.  A 2002 Marketing graduate from the University of Central Florida, she’s spent the last two decades applying her creative skills in ministry, education, and healthcare sectors. 

Jenny loves being a part of the Westmoreland Family Dentistry team, finding planning and executing community events especially fulfilling.

When not working, Jenny enjoys spending time watching her kids participate in their various sports, traveling to new places, and attending the theater and ballet. She’s been married to her high school sweetheart, Ryan, since 2002, and loves making memories with her family.
